Job Description

Reporting directly to the VP of Application Engineering, you will manage a team of system integration engineers and technicians responsible for the preparation, testing and delivery of Vention turn-key applications. You will coach and support your team through planning and execution activities. Your domain expertise in automation and robotics will elevate your growing team’s technical knowledge and enable you to identify training opportunities for them. 

You will be involved in pre-sale scope validation activities. Working in collaboration with sales-executives, application engineers, application development engineers, operations team and customer success team, you will ensure that projects can be delivered on time, on budget and on scope. 

In your role, you will maintain strong relationships with Application Engineering, Product Line Management and Application Development teams to provide feedback from the field to help prioritize the Roadmap and contribute to the Go To Market strategy.

The Role

  • You will lead the project planning (scope and schedule) during the pre-sales phase
  • You will manage the turn-key projects portfolio. Managing resources, priorities, monitoring and reporting
  • You will be responsible for the technical execution and quality of the assembly, installation and programming of the projects
  • You will be responsible, with the delivery engineer assigned to each project, of managing the relationship with the end users from PO to SAT
  • You will design and maintain the project management processes and tools necessary for successful delivery
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives to improve, design, implement processes to improve and optimize the end-to-end delivery process considering quality, speed of delivery and profitability
  • You will drive the hiring efforts in Delivery to ensure our capacity to deliver scales with our sales growth
  • You will influence the roadmap as the voice of the customer for productized applications and turn-key projects

Qualifications

  • You bring 8-10 years experience in the field of industrial automation, controls or robotics 
  • You bring 2-4 years experience in project management
  • You bring 2-4 years experience in managing a technical team
  • You hold an Engineering Degree with strong Automation skills
  • You have your engineer permit from OIQ 
  • You have strong business acumen 
  • You showed the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
