Job Description

Joining the Finance team, you will play a key role in Vention’s next phase of Hypergrowth by
helping to set a world class FP&A function. You will be responsible to build and maintain
various finance analysis for key stakeholders, while working on a broad variety of projects to
build the future of Vention. More specifically, you will:

  • Act as the finance business partner for budget owners in R&D, Operations & fulfillment and G&A departments.
  • Assist in building strong treasury forecasting, including working capital & PP&E optimization.
  • Own inventory, services and software standard costing.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting of expenses with stakeholders in your scope
  • Execute and present monthly budget-to-actual analysis to the budget owners in your scope.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of key controls surrounding inventory management.
  • Participate in Ad hoc projects such as margin improvement, path to profitability, continuous improvement, ROI analysis, etc.
  • Build and maintain Finance and operational KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Modeling, or related fields
  • Strong communications skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to details and superior analytical skills
  • Intrapreneur mentality: Be able to see business improvement opportunities, and
  • implement change with the buy-in of all involved parties
  • High capacity to work autonomously: Resourcefulness is key to be successful in a Startup environment like Vention
  • Track record of being an amazing executer while keeping a clear vision on the project/tasks at hand

Considered a plus:

  • Experience in management accounting related to production/distribution of inventory (standard costing, variance analysis, etc.)
  • Experience in a late-stage Startup, public company or a large firm
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting software
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting standard in a multinational context
  • Basic level of SQL and/or PowerBI
  • Business related professional designation: CPA, CFA or MBA
