Job Description

As Design Portfolio Engineer, you will be responsible to transform the public design library of Vention into a competitive advantage that cannot be replicated by competitors who do not own a design platform like MachineBuilder. More specifically you will:

  • Work closely with marketing to data science to understand lead volume originated from public designs
  • Identify growth tactics and viral loops to increase lead volumes generated by public designs (i.e., keyword research, page structure optimization for SEO, design categories driving most demand)
  • Increase volume of public designs  (i.e., Ready-to-Operate, Vention official, Community Design) with intent to grow organic traffic
  • Work in collaboration with Product Line Manager, Program Manager and Application R&D to prepare launch of new applications, including marketing & sales asset creation, creation of various design configurations
  • Work with Product Line Manager to established "configuration and standardization strategies" for new and existing applications
  • Support Web and MachineBuilder product managers, identifying product-led growth and user experience enhancement ideas
  • Maintain public library of design to ensure Application Engineers and Vention user can jump start their design with minimal rework and modifications
  • Support marketing to ensure "demo design" in Customer Experience Centers and various tradeshows are the latest version
  • Prepare and lead technical training to sales, application engineers and customer success, from material creation to training delivery
  • Identify opportunities for products and component standardization in collaboration with Product Line Managers and Program Managers.
  • Work in collaboration with OEM Partners (i.e., Fanuc, UR, Doosan, etc.) to promote Vention application on their respective online libraries and marketplaces

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical engineering
  • 3-5 years’ experience designing, assembling, and deploying industrial equipment and/or robot cell
  • Familiar with major cobot brands, including Universal Robots, Fanuc and Doosan
  • Strong analytical toolkit with proven ability to run advanced analytics
  • Passion for "business model engineering, SEO, growth tactics" and self-learner mindset
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds and good time management
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and SQL queries is a plus
