Job Description

As a program manager, your role will be to drive all technical project management aspects inherent to the launch of new products at Vention. In this role, you will work alongside our hardware, automation, and application engineering teams, and be ultimately responsible to launch application products on time, cost, and quality.

More specifically, you will: 

  • Drive all aspects of project management for new ready-to-deploy application product development (e.g., palletizer products), from specification definitions up to release into production
  • Constantly balance implicit tension between project budget, product quality/performance and launch deadline, proactively raising key management decisions and optimization options
  • Remove roadblocks inherent to new product launch; keeping engineering teams dedicated to core technology development, while focusing on launch deliverables (i.e., reliability testing, certification, documentation, project purchasing, production readiness, packaging and user experience etc)
  • Develop and maintain project plan, including task sequencing, mitigation actions, and staffing level to shorten critical path and reduce overall project timeline risk
  • Lead weekly sprint meetings, ensuring deadline compliance, proper staffing level, and next steps prioritization
  • Drive the handshakes with product line managers, software product manager, and operations team in preparation to release into production
  • Prepare and maintain support and marketing materials including product marketing pages, part properties database, datasheets, and manuals, and more.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or another related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering project management with high-pace, complex electrical & mechanical products
  • Strong project management and risk mitigation mindset, with demonstrated ability to build contingency plan and execute them
  • Strong expertise in launching new product from specification development up to production validation
  • Skilled at working with various engineering functions such as mechanical, electrical, quality and operations
  • Knowledge of reliability and functional testing, including test plan development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds/good time management
