Job Description

The Director of Business Development is pivotal in the development and execution of the ground marketing programs and services to prospective referral resources and securing new patient referral relationships for our addiction treatment programs. The position is also tasked with helping the COO, VP Clinical and Medical Operations, and President maintain a positive, gossip free, effective staff environment.

  1. Lead in all areas in the development of ground marketing plans per the direction of the COO, and overall marketing strategy/PR efforts per the direction of the COO of our company.
  2. Building relationships, with senior executives, medical professionals and other key decision maker’s, through presentations, seminars, trade shows, cold calling and telemarketing that will result in new patient referrals.
  3. Directly assists and supports internal and vendor personnel at key meetings with executive level audiences and may encompass nights and some weekends at times.
  4. Performs follow-ups on prospect meetings and assists in the successful negotiation and acquisition of new referral/patient streams from targeted groups or individuals.
  5. Develops and assists in the ongoing timely preparation of accurate reports which detail and monitor individual progress against monthly, quarterly and annual goals and will also participate in the presentation of reports to the COO.
  6. Contributes to the development of and participates in department-wide campaigns, seminars and all other initiatives as directed by the COO.
  7. Demonstrates punctuality, organization and proficiency in all areas of scheduling, filing, meetings, presentation and customer relations.
  8. Demonstrates high proficiency in all computer related applications – Salesforce, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel, Frontpage and able to learn Photoshop, etc.
  9. Demonstrates initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership of work to meet monthly, quarterly and annual marketing goals in both written and verbal formats.
  10. Demonstrates ability to find and manage vendors to successful fulfillment of all marketing objectives per the direction of the COO and President.
  11. Coordinates with counselors and clients on all admissions and discharges for aftercare.
  12. Coordinates with insurance policies for continued care eligibility (VOBs).
  13. Works continuously to ensure the COO and President are aware of any client, staff, or pertinent business issues at all times.

Has the ability to build and lead a strong team as we grow the company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; professional experience may substitute for degree requirement. Must be exceptionally computer literate.

A minimum of 5 years of marketing management experience; preferably in a health care delivery system setting.

Strong skills and experience with CRM and marketing technology platforms.
