Job Purpose:

The PBX-Change Outside Sales Consultant will be responsible for seeking external new business. Once clients have been established, they will follow up after installation to ensure customer satisfaction. The consultant will be responsible for periodic touchpoints for possible up sale opportunities and handled contract renewals of their own existing customers when contract term is ending. Support the existing sales team with the solicitation of new business opportunities, marketing of company initiatives and new products.

Job Duties: 

Core duties and responsibilities include the following below. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Outside solicitation of new customers on own initiative to acquire new VOIP accounts.
  • Use of external sources; ie IT professionals, to drive sales by networking to acquire new accounts.
  • Achieves sales objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans. Utilizing CRM for account management.
  • Meets marketing and sales set quotas set by management by cold calling, attending networking events, training classes, and by engaging new customers for referrals.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities and showcasing new products. Constant contact with existing clients is critical.
  • Handles renewals of existing clients by discussing equipment upgrade needs and enhancement opportunities to improve business solutions.
  • Handles existing customer requests for account/service Moves, Adds or Changes (MAC), additional/new service locations by discussing needs, available solutions and identifying possible upsell opportunities.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications

Education / Previous Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a technology associated environment.
  • Must have knowledge of technical trends, and how businesses utilize technology to increase efficiencies.
  • Prospect must have an above-average knowledge of all things computer-related, and, above all else must have an innate knack for technical learning.
