Vendease is a fast-moving consumer goods e-procurement platform for B2B clients in Nigeria, with a mission to ensure hotels & restaurants are free to focus on catering for their customers. We take the problem of food supply-availability and quality off restaurant owners, so that they can focus on serving their customers. As an online marketplace, we give restaurants the opportunity to buy everything they need remotely and seamlessly from anywhere in the world.

• Under the direction of the Head of Logistics,, the Logistics Coordinator develops the daily shipping/delivery schedules for goods using short-term projections while collaborating with operations. 

• Manages and tracks outbound and inbound delivery. 

• Assists in the completion of the daily inventory reconciliation; ensures the correct arrival and dispatch processes and procedures are being followed

• Works cross functionally with other departments to maximize efficiency and cost savings

• Investigates reasons for late deliveries (If any)by communicating with other responsible teams. Identifies and quickly corrects service issues.

• Examines and changes daily outbound schedule to ensure timely product delivery and optimal trailer utilization. Arranges customer supply/return loads as needed.

• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures

• Support with the recruitment of logistics staff according to availabilities and requirements

• Plan and track the shipment of goods according to customer requirements

• Keep logs and records of stock, executed orders etc.

• Prepare accurate reports for senior management

• Performs other duties as assigned

Ideal Person

• Minimum of Five (5) years proven experience in the  logistics/Supply Chain Management department of a freight and logistics company

• Possess rich experience in building strong logistics networks

• Experience in customer service will be appreciated

• Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements

• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes

• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)

• Well organized and coordinated individual with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Formal training in Supply Chain Management will be well appreciated

• Minimum of BSC/HND is required
