Job Description

As Commercial Excellence Consultant, you will guide Vendavo’s clients to consistently successful outcomes.  This can take the form of applying advanced analytical tools and modeling techniques to derive business insights, solve complex business problems.  It will also include working alongside client teams to reengineer commercial excellence business processes and define/elaborate software solution requirements. Our services team partner with our clients to operationalize the consultancy services we provide, making sure we show our clients the path to successful financial outcomes and then guide them along the way to realize their financial potential. You’ll work alongside some of the best in the business, developing your business acumen while ensuring the success of our clients’ high ROI initiatives. 

As a Commercial Excellence Consultant, you will:

  • Work directly with clients and internal teams to conduct rigorous quantitative analyses 
  • Advise client and internal teams on analytical options to address their specific needs 
  • Translate analysis results into specific and actionable business recommendations 
  • Present findings to team members and client stakeholders 
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify software and consulting opportunities with new and existing clients  
  • Lead all business/functional requirements workshops and gather, evaluate and document customer business needs and requirements. 
  • Demonstrate Vendavo software and share best pricing practices with the customer in the context of client’s requirements and value proposition 
  • Analyze and map client requirements based on Vendavo capability 
  • Produce high quality business requirements documentation per Vendavo methodology 
  • Work with the project team to implement the designed solution and deliver sustainable value to the customer 
  • Deliver training to customer core teams 
  • Participate in other knowledge transfer to customers 
  • Identify / suggest improvements to internal requirements tools, templates and processes 
  • Leverage and contribute to corporate knowledge assets 
  • Develop product and domain knowledge and expertise 
  • Develop your own and team’s technical and analytical acumen 
  • Develop your internal relationships, client industry knowledge and your Vendavo brand 


    • 3-5 years’ experience in B2B pricing, marketing, finance or related domain area or an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, finance, operations research or any related field) 
    • Experience with applications implementation in pricing, marketing, or related areas preferred 
    • Experience in consulting, a start-up, or other business environment 
    • Hands-on work experience in statistical or heavy numerical analyses preferred (pricing, promotion, financial forecasting, and customer behavior work) 
    • Business acumen manifested in the ability to quickly distill information to key strategic and tactical issues 
    • A pragmatic and tireless focus on driving clients to higher levels of financial performance 
    • Endless curiosity with a passion for driving change 
    • A solid team player who's also an independent thinker 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • Prior experience in developing and delivering presentations to various levels of an organization 
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
