Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Technically design and architect Sitecore-based solutions, including the logical and physical architecture of Sitecore capabilities, system integration components, database, server architecture and communications

Be accountable for leading Sitecore implementations that are delivered on time and on budget, ensuring that project managers have clear visibility to project tasks and timelines

Become the 'go to' problem solver within a project team

Foster a cohesive, team-oriented project environment

Guide and inform the project delivery approaches and plans

Lead and mentor small to medium-sized teams toward project goals and deliverables

Identify and navigate risks and opportunities to optimize project success

Ensure compliance to contemporary web development, .NET and Sitecore best practices

Develop the roadmap for upcoming web technologies, Sitecore capabilities and integration opportunities

Collaborate with web strategists, analysts, and client representatives to identify software capabilities, functionality and design options for Sitecore-based solutions

Document the overall system architecture and describe its various components, features, and functionality in sufficient detail for the development team to execute the solution implementation

Qualifications

Sitecore developer certification is a plus

4+ years of professional experience with Sitecore, 6.x/7.x/8.0 expertise preferred

6+ years of professional experience with the Microsoft .NET platform including .NET 3.5/4.x

Evidence of success in the delivery of Microsoft and Sitecore solutions to customers

Detailed understanding of object-oriented design principles and software patterns, including MVC

Experience with contemporary presentation layer technologies (e.g. Bootstrap, Angularjs, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3)

Experience using Sitecore pipelines and developing processors within projects

Experience integrating third-party search technologies (e.g. SOLR, ElasticSearch, Endeca, etc.) with Sitecore

Exposure to digital marketing platforms, like CRM, marketing automation, analytics and social

Passion for hands-on development in .NET technologies: ASP.NET, C#, LINQ, MVC, IIS, SQL Server

Significant background and experience in CMS concepts, familiarity with other platforms such as Umbraco, Kentico, Episerver preferred

Experience with source control using GIT

Experience creating and maintaining a continuous integration (CI) environment for Sitecore projects
