Job Description

  • Responsible to oversee, manage, control, and direct all matters related to employment and employee relations which includes Recruitment & Retention, Manning, Salaries & Benefits, Training, Administration, Grievances and Welfare.
  • Demonstrate a high-degree of Velaa’s culture, standards and act as a role model to other colleagues.
  • Implement Velaa's service standards and operational procedures, ensuring alignment with the values & the promise of Velaa Private Island.
  • Oversee the colleagues’ operations, business planning, and budget development of HR programs.
  • Research, develop and update the organization’s policies and guidelines and establish HR objectives in accordance with Velaa’s values and Maldives legal framework.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or HR Management.
  • Minimum 5 years working in a similar role at a 5-star luxury hotel/resort; experience in Maldives will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to lead and motivate the HR team, providing direction and setting high performance standards.
  • Strong budgeting skills and well versed in payroll processes, general administration and computing skills to maintain significant levels of data and paperwork.
  • Passionate in building relations with people, having an outgoing, self-motivated, outspoken, and positive personality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate HR policies and procedures across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sensitivity and awareness to manage a diverse and multicultural workforce, fostering an inclusive work environment.
