Job Description

Culture that powers progress

At Vector, our culture is more than just words – it’s how we connect, collaborate and make a difference every day. It’s built on a shared commitment to inclusion, innovation and creativity, shaping not just how we operate, but how we support the people, communities and infrastructure Auckland relies on every day.

Here’s what our people have to say about life at Vector.

Our culture sets us apart

  • Diversity makes us stronger – We encourage our people to bring their whole selves to work, embracing ideas that challenge, inspire and drive change
  • Connected to our communities – We’re united around delivering exceptional customer outcomes. We don’t just power homes – we support lives, respond in times of need and help shape a cleaner energy future
  • Passionate about what we do - We take pride in keeping the lights on across Auckland, connecting families and driving industry transformation, and are excited about the legacy we’re building – a smarter, cleaner energy future
  • A diverse culture of staff-led networks and celebrations – We’re proud of our staff-led networks, and of our growing cultural calendar of events and celebrations across the year, from Matariki and Lunar New Year to Diwali and Eid.

The role

As our Learning & Development Coordinator, you'll help deliver a great learning experience across Vector by owning the operational foundations that keep our learning programmes, systems and records running smoothly. The role combines responsibility for our e-learning environment with day-to-day learning operations, from workshop logistics and cohort coordination through to e-learning, reporting and training records.

This is an exciting development opportunity for someone early in their L&D or people-operations career who wants to take greater ownership of learning systems and operations. You'll help us get more value from HiBob Learning and our learning library, improve the processes and reporting that support learning across the business, and build expertise in how digital learning is designed, governed and delivered at Vector.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll coordinate learning activities, maintain learning records, respond to queries and ensure the details are followed through. You'll also support e-learning content owners to keep learning current and engaging, help improve the way our systems and processes work, and over time become a trusted point of contact for our e-learning environment and digital learning practices.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience in learning and development, HR, learning operations, training administration or a similar coordination role, with a genuine interest in helping people and teams build capability
  • Experience creating or maintaining e-learning content, with an understanding of what makes digital learning effective
  • Strong administration and coordination skills, with the organisation and attention to detail needed to manage multiple priorities, learning events and stakeholder requests
  • Confidence using systems and data, including learning or HR platforms, Microsoft Office and Excel beyond the basics (including pivot tables, lookups, data cleansing and reporting)
  • A customer-focused, continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships, improve processes and deliver reliably as part of a team
