Job Description
Energise your career
If you like the idea of working in an industry that makes a fundamental difference to the lives of people in your community, then perhaps you should think about a role at Vector.
So much of what we take for granted in our everyday lives is enabled by the work that Vector is doing to ensure our infrastructure is fit for purpose for a rapidly changing future.
Across our networks we are transforming the way that Auckland's critical infrastructure is delivered through high-tech data-led solutions and customer first thinking. It's a dynamic, energising place to work because what you do here matters to everyone.
The role
In this role, you’ll provide assistant management accounting services through the provision and interpretation of accurate, relevant and timely financial information and non-financial information to Finance and the wider business.
We’re excited to support your growth and give you more responsibility along the way, from supporting our month-end processing and reporting activities to having exposure to cross-functional collaboration, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting and regulatory disclosures.
Who are we looking for?
- You’ll hold a bachelor’s in accounting, or a similarly relevant field. Ideally you’ll also be working towards a CA or equivalent qualification (or recently qualified) - we’re happy to support you with this!
- You’ll have a couple of years’ accounting experience in medium to large organisations, including general ledger management, journal preparation and posting, monthly reporting, reconciliation and financial analyses
- Experience with SAP (or other large ERP systems) is highly advantageous. You’ll also be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
- You’ll have interest or exposure in working with SQL, large data sources, databases and analytical/business intelligence tools like PowerBI
- You’ll be a team player, with an aptitude for problem solving and a hunger to grow and learn.
