The role

The cyber security governance, risk and compliance team support Vector’s business units and leadership team to understand cyber security risks and compliance obligations, enabling informed and timely decision making. The team is made up of experts in governance, risk and compliance for cyber and information security operating across a diverse environment including cloud, data and operational technology.

As a technical risk and compliance expert, the Senior Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance Partner will lead risk assessment activities for product and platform development teams, ensuring they meet Vector’s compliance and cyber security requirements. Work with teams to ensure appropriate security control design is considered as part of high-level architectural reviews and completion of third-party compliance assessments.

Who are we looking for?

  • We’re open-minded about your current experience, but anticipate you’ll have 2-3 years’ experience in cyber security governance, operational risk management, compliance or audit
  • Tertiary qualification in a field related to Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or Cyber Security; or Information security related certification such as CISSP or CRISC
  • You’ll be familiar with information security industry frameworks and compliance standards, such as NIST CSF, SOC 2 and ISO 27001
  • You’ll have knowledge/experience of securing network technologies, client and server operating systems, and/or in documenting risk and compliance activities and scoping technical security assessments
  • Experience with cloud, eg AWS, is advantageous; as is industrial control system (ICS) security experience
  • You’ll have strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presenting, preparing formal reports and contributing to our awareness training programme
  • You’ll demonstrate an ability to develop security standards and guidelines based on best practices and industry standards
