Job Description

Energise your career

If you like the idea of working in an industry that makes a fundamental difference to the lives of people in your community, then perhaps you should think about a role at Vector.

So much of what we take for granted in our everyday lives is enabled by the work that Vector is doing to ensure our infrastructure is fit for purpose for a rapidly changing future.

Across our networks we are transforming the way that Auckland's critical infrastructure is delivered through high-tech data-led solutions and customer first thinking. It's a dynamic, energising place to work because what you do here matters to everyone.

About the role

As Operations Planner, you’ll coordinate all planned work and live line operations on the electrical network to ensure we maximise system availability. This will span the entire lifecycle of planner work requests, from receipt through to hand over to the Operations Controller, and recording completed work in our database. You’ll also process and facilitate planned work involving customer supply interruptions.

Effective relationship management with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success.

This role would suit somebody keen to grow their experience and career in the industry – see where a career with Vector can take you!

Who we are looking for

  • Existing experience within the electricity industry is highly advantageous, as is a relevant qualification
  • You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Naturally, you’ll have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

We’re keen to support your professional development and growth, so bring your ambition and see where a career with Vector can take you!

Why us?

Whether it’s the opportunity to work on challenges on a truly global scale in collaboration with leading technology firms, or to build a legacy for Auckland and New Zealand through your work; or perhaps to work in an innovative and transformative sector, or our commitment to supporting your development, there’s a myriad of reasons to choose a career with Vector.
