About the role
Working with innovative, new technologies you will build high-volume platforms on AWS, and make a real difference globally whilst having your eye on something challenging. This role will also see you:
- Learn from, and be inspired by, our team of software developers in our energy revolution
- Use your software development skills to build valuable software in a high-performing team of full stack developers
- Build software in Java primarily, but also gain experience with frontend frameworks like React and infrastructure automation with Terraform
- Grow in your role and in your career, collaborating with leading global partners such as AWS to build valuable software systems for a global customer base.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an inquisitive, skilled and motivated Software Java Developer with the following skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of Java and its ecosystem, including core language features, libraries, frameworks, e.g. Spring Boot
- Proficient with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and more Understanding how to implement serverless solutions using AWS
- Experience of DevOps and CI/CD practices is essential, including how to use tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD). Proficient in writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests
- Experience working in an agile environment
- You’ll be determined and positive in driving business engagement and prioritisation to help deliver meaningful business value
- We are a collaborative environment, so you must be able to work in our Newmarket office 2 days a week.
