About the role

Vector Technology Solutions (VTS) began creating real-world solutions for Vector to enable a new energy future. We’ve since turned these into market-ready solutions from which the wider energy industry can benefit.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer. If you’re a Java developer with ambitions to build high-volume platforms on AWS, and want to make a real difference globally with your eye on something challenging, we want to hear from you.

Vector is a class-leading energy group with a strong track record in software systems engineering, with an inclusive, outcomes-focused engineering culture. We value and follow best practices through all layers of the application stack. We use customer-centred agile methodologies, TDD/BDD and the full automation of application deployment and infrastructure provisioning to deliver value.

• You'll learn from, and be inspired by, our team of software developers in our energy revolution
• You’ll build software in Java primarily, but also gain experience with a frontend frameworks like React and infrastructure automation with Terraform
• You’ll grow in your role and in your career, collaborating with leading global partners such as AWS to build valuable software systems for a global customer base
• You’ll be determined and positive in driving business engagement and prioritisation to help deliver meaningful business value. 

Who are we looking for?

• You’ll be using your software development skills to build valuable software in a high-performing team of full stack developers
• You will have a track record of inspiring, guiding and mentoring a high-performing team
• You're a senior level software developer with experience in Backend (Java, Spring) and experience (or an interest in gaining experience) in full stack, Frontend and Cloud (AWS)
• Bring with you the ability to build and foster collaborative relationships between software developers and business
