Job Description

About us
If you love working with a diverse group of people who are all about putting the customer at the centre and enabling choice, you’ve found the right company. The energy sector is transforming at a rate of knots, and we want you to join us and be part of this transformation. Vector is a proudly Aotearoa-owned company, which operates a range of innovative businesses delivering energy and communication services to more than one million homes and commercial customers across Australasia and the Pacific. These services include electricity and gas connections, solar solutions, high speed fibre, BBQ gas bottles, air and water purification and much more – all of which are transforming the energy sector in one way or another.

Because we live in a world that is changing fast, we must continue to identify and develop better solutions that will provide value, choice and service for our customers throughout New Zealand and beyond, so the environment and communities we love continue to thrive. To do this, Vector has a vision of creating a new energy future, which will help to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions for customers.

About the role

The Customer Coordinator is the central point of contact for all complex customer connection enquiries across the Customer Contracts Team. The lynchpin of the team, you will ensure an excellent customer experience from the get-go, with timely and effective communication and processing of requests. You’ll also provide administrative and coordination support to the customer project teams.

In this exciting and varied role, no two days are the same and you can look forward to gaining exposure across the full breadth of projects that our diverse team supports. As well as continually learning in the role, you’ll build an extensive network across the organisation – this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career at Vector!

Who we are looking for

  • You’ll have a depth of customer service and administration/coordination experience, ideally gained within the utilities, construction or infrastructure sectors or a projects environment
  • Familiarity with finance/accounts/billing is advantageous, including exposure to invoicing and purchase orders
  • Naturally you’ll be highly organised, adept at prioritising competing demands to deliver to fixed deadlines
  • Your interpersonal skills will be your strength, with a customer focus but also the confidence and diplomacy to stand your ground when necessary
  • You’ll be computer-literate; familiarity with SAP and/or Siebel is a bonus.

What we can offer you
We love working together to create a new energy future. If you want to be part of an organisation with a real and tangible purpose, Vector could be the place for you.
We offer:

  • A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
  • Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Great benefits that reflect the importance of family
