Job Description

About Us
If you love working with a diverse group of people who are all about putting the customer at the centre and enabling choice, you’ve found the right company. The energy sector is transforming at a rate of knots, and we want you to join us and be part of this transformation. Vector is a proudly Aotearoa-owned company, which operates a range of innovative businesses delivering energy and communication services to more than one million homes and commercial customers across Australasia and the Pacific. These services include electricity and gas connections, solar solutions, high speed fibre, BBQ gas bottles, air and water purification and much more – all of which are transforming the energy sector in one way or another.

Because we live in a world that is changing fast, we must continue to identify and develop better solutions that will provide value, choice and service for our customers throughout New Zealand and beyond, so the environment and communities we love continue to thrive. To do this, Vector has a vision of creating a new energy future, which will help to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions for customers.

About the role
On offer: an exciting opportunity to gain broad exposure to different parts of the Vector Fibre business.

The Sales & Provisioning Administrator provides administrative support to the Sales and Service teams in Vector Fibre, as well as supporting our Operations Administrator and Operations Specialist.

As we connect customers, a major focus of this role will be supporting the team’s supply chain and logistics activities, ordering and managing stock and equipment, inputting records into our systems, and working in the provisioning process to ensure a great experience for our customers. You will also assist with billing activities such as creating purchase orders and tracking invoices for both our customer and supplier functions.

To succeed, you’ll be someone who thrives working in a collaborative environment, eager to understand the process, jump in where needed and be part of a team that champions the customer. This role requires attention to detail, and great organisational skills to help us keep on track.

Who we are looking for

  • Your problem-solving skills will be your strength, and you enjoy unpicking a problem and working out a solution
  • Previous experience working in supply chain or logistics environments is advantageous, but not a requirement
  • Previous experience using systems like SAP is also advantageous; exposure to Salesforce and/or ServiceNow is an added bonus
  • Naturally, you’ll be organised to successfully balance a busy workload, with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy
  • You’ll enjoy variety, and have a willingness to take on and learn new skills.

What we can offer you
We love working together to create a new energy future. If you want to be part of an organisation with a real and tangible purpose, Vector could be the place for you.
We offer:

  • A fun, flexible and stimulating work environment, full of interesting work being done by smart and innovative people
  • Flexibility, including the choice of working from home a couple of days a week, and flexible start and finish times so you can balance work and life
  • Health and wellbeing support
  • Great benefits that reflect the importance of family

Vector engages a workforce made up of people and teams with diverse skills, values, backgrounds and experiences. We respect and value people who are different from each other, including gender, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, race and religion.  We are proud of what we have achieved so far:
