The HVAC Installer Team Leader is responsible for the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of all Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) equipment installed by the Company.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Team Leader experience is a must for this role (minimum of 2 years leading an installation team)
  • Carry out installation and commissioning of ducted heat pumps to Aircon Direct standards and to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Control and deliver Customer Care services to customers as required ensuring superior levels of customer satisfaction
  • Work with the team to ensure ducted installs are completed to target on a daily basis
  • Maintain a friendly, warm manner when around clients and/or representing the employer
  • Promote the employers’ other products and services if the opportunity arises
  • Update the Operations Manager daily on any problems that arise in the course of daily business
  • Communicate directly with the client if there is a prediction of a delay in their arrival or for any other reasons
  • Proactive leadership and training of your team of installers
  • Support the Regional and Operations Manager to ensure a smooth & efficient running operation

Essential Skills, Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader leading an installation team
  • Sound knowledge of ducted heat pump installs and practices
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplined environment
  • Good oral and written presentation skills
  • Demonstrated business acumen skills, see an opportunity and seize it
  • Ability to manage own and teams work.
  • Prepare weekly timesheets for pay run and send to payroll to be entered
  • Monitor, audit and report on residential install activity
  • Health & Safety - Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring all staff are aware of
  • H & S Policies and processes, hazards and processes for managing them. They are required to act as a role model for safe working practices and attend H & S meetings when and if required.

Please note - Relevant industry qualifications (preferably Level III Air Conditioning & Refrigeration will be highly regarded)
