For more than 100 years we have electrified industries, supplied energy to people’s homes and modernized our way of living through innovation and cooperation. We are looking for talented individuals who, in addition to their passion for their own role, also have strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission.
Job Description
As part of BA Wind you will play a key role in one of the most exciting pipelines in the industry with 24GW of capacity stretching out more than a decade ahead across our key European markets.
You won’t only be involved in developing projects but pioneering cutting-edge innovation, new business models and ways of working with communities and the environment. Working as part of a leading European utility also means you could be helping a growing number of major businesses and brands achieve their own sustainability goals through partnerships.
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Operations team on a temporary full-time basis for 18 months.
In this role, you will have end-to-end commercial responsibility for assigned offshore wind assets in Germany. Acting as the key commercial partner to Site Management, you will manage a broad range of operational contracts, drive commercial performance, and ensure contractual risks and opportunities are effectively managed.
Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Asset Management, and external suppliers, you will help create commercial value, support efficient operations, and contribute to continuous improvement across the assets.
What will you do?
Commercial Management
- Partner with Site Management on commercial, contractual, and financial matters.
- Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance reviews.
- Lead or support commercial negotiations and contract-related discussions.
Contract Management
- Manage operational contracts throughout their lifecycle.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Handle contract variations, claims, and commercial disputes where required.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key internal stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive improvements to commercial processes, reporting, and ways of working.
- Identify and implement value-creation and cost-saving opportunities.
- Promote best practices and share lessons learned across assets and functions.
Qualifications
Who are you?
You are a commercially driven professional with experience in contract and supplier management within a complex operational environment. You combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic mindset and are comfortable working with both commercial details and broader business objectives.
You build strong relationships, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, and take ownership of delivering results. Structured and proactive by nature, you thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift and no two days are the same.
Next to this you bring:
- A degree in a commercial, legal, engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract, commercial or procurement roles — preferably in renewables, energy, oil & gas, or other complex industries
- Experience interpreting, managing, supporting and negotiating commercial agreements supported by a strong commercial mindset
- Experience with operational renewable energy assets
- Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously with structure and prioritization
- Experience working with suppliers and external stakeholders
- Must be able to manage and negotiate contracts in English
- German language is a plus, not a must
Location: Amsterdam (Netherlands), Kolding or Copenhagen (Denmark), Hamburg (Germany) or London (UK)
