We employ around 500 professionals who are active across Europe with offices in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom to drive the energy transition together. Our role in Vattenfall is to maximize the value of the overall portfolio by optimizing and dispatching, hedging, and sourcing for Vattenfall's sales and generation volumes. Job Description
For our Hamburg office, we are looking for a dedicated and motivated Senior Application Analyst I Product Owner to join our Market Access & Intraday Solutions team.

About the Role
Market Access enables business within Vattenfall Markets by ensuring timely and sustainable delivery of application development and support. In this role, you will analyze and develop software solutions using modern technologies, enabling both internal and external customers to access energy markets efficiently.
You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside our Intraday traders, taking a leading role in delivering tailored, custom-built solutions. The team operates in sprints within a well-established agile framework.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Take on the Product Owner role for the agile team “Market Access Intraday” (~60% of your time)
- Shape and evolve our Intraday application landscape, including product strategy, roadmap, and well-prepared user stories for sprint planning
- Deliver best-in-class stakeholder management through proactive communication and reliability
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective solutions
- Manage external vendors as partners, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
- Drive the development of new functionalities and support the implementation of new products across the full value chain
- Contribute to cross-team initiatives and align with other agile teams in big room planning sessions
- Stay hands-on by contributing to selected user stories yourself
- Work within established agile Scrum & DevOps teams
Qualifications
Your Profile

- University degree in Business & Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in any type of trading environment
- Professional experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Data Engineer, Application Specialist, or similar (certifications are a plus)
- Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
- A passion for learning across the full service chain and solving complex problems
- A proactive mindset and positive energy to contribute to the team
- Ability to collaborate in an inspiring English-speaking environment
