Job Description

Vattenfall is looking for a Group Business Continuity Officer (BCM) to Corporate Security & Resilience. The location of this position is in one of our offices in Stockholm, Amsterdam, London or Berlin.

The Corporate Security & Resilience function strives to be modern, flexible and agile, operating in a challenging and rapidly changing environment. Knowledge of emerging threats, and an everchanging need to review and adapt the security posture is in focus.

The main task of the function is to provide governance and operational support throughout the Vattenfall Group to ensure mitigation of security related risks as well as regulatory compliance in the countries where we operate. 

The position of Group Continuity Officer, responsible for Business Continuity Management on Group level, is a key role for developing security and resilience within Vattenfall.

The position entails responsibility for:

  • Develop and maintain business continuity related governance, procedures and guidance
  • Chair and participate in groups and forums dealing with BCM on Group level
  • Drive training and exercise activities for the benefit of all Vattenfall Group
  • Support BCM-work on Business Area/Business Unit/Staff Function-level, including training, exercises, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans etc.
  • Lead BCM-work for processes that are critical on a Group level and includes more than one BA/BU/SF
  • Build up awareness and competence throughout the Vattenfall Group on why continuity planning is important for the company.

Moreover, the position will:

  • Ensure interactions with relevant governmental bodies in the countries in question and co-ordinate with business stakeholders
  • Follow the development and uphold external contacts within the area of BCM, for example regarding international standards and best practices, and ensure suitable Vattenfall implementation
  • Lead the development of necessary governance from a national perspective, to be included in, and ensure alignment with Group steering
  • Ensure that the work with BCM is aligned with other fields within the resilience area such as Incident Management and Swedish Civil Defence.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced security leader who engages with key stakeholders, to find the best possible solutions to challenges. Excellent communication skills and individual drive are key success factors in this position.

Furthermore, the candidate we choose is likely to fit the following description:

  • Excellent knowledge of Business Continuity Management and relevant standards (ISO 22301, ISO 22313, ISO 31000, SS 22304:2023)
  • Experience of security management in multi-stakeholder environments and with an international focus
  • A relevant university degree on at least Bachelor level
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant positions
  • Masters our Group language English, both spoken and written, on an excellent professional level
  • Good knowledge of EU procedures and requirements for the energy industry
  • Knowledge of legislations such as NIS2, CER and Swedish Protective Security
  • Experience from different energy operations (Wind, Hydro, Distribution, Nuclear, Sales etc.)
