The purpose of an IT Project Manager job is to efficiently manage the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring the successful delivery of IT-related projects. This involves defining project objectives, developing comprehensive project plans, managing resources, mitigating risks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring the project aligns with organizational goals and standards. The IT Project Manager develops and skilfully uses the best methods and practices of both waterfall and agile working according to the needs of the project

What will you do? 

Key areas:

  • Project Planning: Defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Budget Management: Managing project budget and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resource Management: Allocation of resources and professional guidance to the project team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicating project progress, issues, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Project Handover: Overseeing the formal closure of the project and providing documentation handed over to the respective receiver in operations.

Interfaces:

  • Internal Stakeholders: Leadership, Sponsor, Steering Committee, Portfolio Owner, project teams, various departments.
  • External Stakeholders: Clients, vendors, regulatory bodies.
  • Users and Beneficiaries: End-users or beneficiaries of the project's outcomes (e.g., Business Team)

Location  
Katowice or Gliwice

Some international travel required. Hybrid way of working possible. 

Qualifications

Who are you? 
As a person, you are action-driven and result-oriented, open to new challenges and diversity of people and projects. You are also a driven and organized team-player with outstanding communication skills and a problem solving mindset.

Experience Levels: At least 10 years of experience in IT Project Management domain.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of IT Service Management and related frameworks such as ITIL.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing IT operating models.
  • Strong understanding of governance policies and practices within IT.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within large, complex organizations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Successful track record in Change management for processes and ways of working, complex migration and transformation projects.
  • Very good communication skills and proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methods of work.
  • Advanced degree in IT, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or similar.
  • Experience in management consulting roles.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in IT service management.
