Company Description

About Vattenfall InCharge

Our E-mobility unit operates under the Vattenfall InCharge brand. Vattenfall InCharge currently operates more than 40,000 chargepoints in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. And our network is growing every day. With a volume of more than 100 million euros per year, we are one of the largest investors in EV infrastructure in Europe. Our offerings are aimed at both private B2B customers and (semi) public customers.  We operate at business locations and in a large number of municipalities and cities in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Our business is based on long-term contracts that involve significant financial commitments.

Job Description

At Vattenfall, we help our customers power their lives in increasingly climate-smart ways and aim to become fossil-free within one generation. Providing E-Mobility solutions is an important cornerstone of our Group.

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to help us make value-based decisions!

Your role

In this position, you will work within the E-Mobility Business Unit and will be based in Amsterdam, Berlin and/or Stockholm. We offer flexible part-time work from home. Regular travel is expected.

Vattenfall E-Mobility procures electricity that is sold via charge points that we own and operate. Sourcing is done from internal suppliers, with separate contracts in Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. As our Specialist Energy Sourcing E-Mobility, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our electricity procurement contracts. This means negotiating terms and conditions and executing contracts.

A second area of activity is managing our positions in renewable energy units (HBE / THG). By charging renewable energy into electric vehicles, we create renewable energy units. These units have a commercial value and the positions need to be optimised. This is done through both internal and external channels.

You will work closely with our position forecasting and price analyst. Our medium-term goal is to actively manage the imbalance and shape exposure within the BU's books. We see the need to make our procurement portfolio compatible with smart charging and dynamic pricing. A good interface between accurate forecasting and position management is therefore essential. Good sourcing control is essential to maximise the value of our assets.

You will report to the Director Value Management & Governance.
