In our  Analytics Solutions team we design, create, and maintain solutions based on SAP S/4HANA embedded Analytics, SAP Datasphere and the MS Azure technology stack depending on information asset classification. The tasks and projects are varied and so are the data, the use cases and the technology.

We are now looking to hire a Solution Designer
 
What will you do? 

In this role you will handle multiple responsibilities:

• as a Scrum team member - you will develop and maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse and consult our customers inside the business departments of Vattenfall to reach high processes understanding in the energy and HR sector
• as a Solution Designer - you will manage Data Engineers as representatives of their Scrum team and their design proposals to be implemented across a multiple environment & provide input/feedback on solution design
• as a receiver of the ERP data - you will strive for greater functionality with our teams delivering within SAP ERP and other HR systems, support and create design of current solutions, create technical specifications, identify data quality gaps, create and maintain data pipeline architecture, design and build ETL processes (Big Data), prepare and perform go-live activities and create application documentation.

Additionally, your tasks and responsibilities will include:

• making a solid time and effort estimation
• implementing traditional database & DWH concepts to structure the data in the cloud, on-premise and hybrid to provide self-service reporting solutions in Power BI
• building and maintaining APIs
• building and maintaining Power Apps as a data entry point for BI solutions

All Vattenfall IT locations: Poland, Germany, Nederlands, Sweden.

Who are you? 

As our Solution Designer you will bring experience with SAP Analytics & BI tools and services, preferably in the Microsoft stack like SAP Datasphere, SAP SLT and SAP BODS, Azure SQL, Data Lake, ADF, Snowflake, Databricks, Premium / Fabric Capacity and Power BI, advanced knowledge of data warehousing principles and build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management and solid analytical and problem solving skills proactive working attitude.

Next to this you bring: 

• experience in troubleshooting and maintenance production issues, process chains, and ETL
• hands-on experience with IT Architecture guidelines & principles
• experience in designing and building ETL/ELT tracks
• experience in building and maintaining APIs, familiarity with CI/CD, automatic testing and version control in Azure DevOps, ARM, GIT or similar
• hands-on mentality to solve complex issues
• good consultative and communication skills to work with business in a pre-sale capacity and as functional analysts
• experience in requirements gathering and writing functional and technical designs
• proven experience in working agile

Ideally you also:

• think about data as a massive asset to leverage & are familiar with data sharing concepts in the cloud
• have a teaching mindset and you love to share your knowledge with the team 
• have a good understanding of utility business processes and their IT landscape (SAP ERP, IAM, infrastructure and security regulations like GDPR)
• certificates like PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals or AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
