Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our growing finance team in Wetzikon, Switzerland. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization while supporting our broader business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. You'll work in a supportive environment where your contributions directly impact our financial success and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger accounts, and account reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with Swiss tax regulations and prepare tax documentation as required
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any outstanding items in a timely manner
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support business initiatives
- Maintain and update accounting records using our accounting software and systems
- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency
- Monitor and track expenses, ensuring proper categorization and approval workflows
- Communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders and management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of Swiss tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with GAAP or IFRS accounting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
- Experience preparing financial statements and performing account reconciliations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise accounting systems is advantageous
