VariQ has an exciting opportunity for a highly qualified Application Developer III for a long-term engagement supporting the USCG Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) in Elizabeth City, NC.

The Applications Developer researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software:

• Participates in the design and configuration of Oracle E-Business Suite modules, specifically Supply Chain Management and Complete Maintenance Repair and Overhaul.
• Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Prepares comprehensive test plans and conducts tests.
• Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
• Writes and updates technical documentation such as test plans and , system documentation.
• Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for application issues.
• Works with customer teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Participates in special projects as required, including providing support to testers, assisting developers, creating promotion packages for the Configuration Management and System Engineering teams, and attending branch level meetings in addition to daily stand up meetings.

Required Skill:

• 5+ years configuring web applications using Oracle E Business Suite modules, specifically Supply Chain Management and Complete Maintenance Repair and Overhaul.
• Essential Skills: Must have the ability to write complex queries and procedures.
• Language Proficiencies: PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language).
• Experience working with Oracle Databases. Ingres database experience a plus.
• Experience working on an Agile Development team.
• Must have the ability to transport laptop/work equipment to and from work and home in order to support remote work, if required.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with INGRES databases
• Experience working as part of an Agile Scrum Development Team
• Familiarity with the USCG ALMIS/ACMS/AMMIS/EAL systems
• Experience with Perl and Postscript
