Job Description

As part of the Sustainability team in Product Management the Product Manager Sustainability defines the strategy to decrease the ecological impact of our devices, and drives the implementation of this strategy in the domain of gateways and audio-video home products.

The Product Management team is responsible for defining and managing the strategy and solutions of the Broadband PU as well as ensuring a proper management of the portfolio of products. As Product Manager Sustainability

·          You follow-up innovations in sustainable electronics, device housing, packaging and assess whether they can deliver improvement to our products, taking into account all ecological and economical considerations

·          You decide within the portfolio to develop new products or product features either based on market evolutions or on specific customer requests. When the solution has been fully defined and decision to start development has been granted you take over to initiate the developments and bring the solution to mass production. You then introduce these new products to the customers and make sure to win key new customer opportunities based on that. You will have a ruthless approach to achieve that goal!

·          The portfolio offered covers all Broadband and Video solutions on a WW basis.

·          You will be responsible for the definition of new solutions in the portfolio until the concept phase is over.

·          You lead the concept team during that phase.

·          You will drive projects to validate or implement ecological innovation or change in our products

·          You will be responsible for running market studies, defining the product roadmap and strategy, deciding and recommending to the management which solutions to put on the market in its segment.

·          You will use customer visits, market and technology trends, strategy and input from regions to determine the generic products.

·          For this you will be conducting strategy reviews to assess the profitability of your portfolio and the strategy to be followed and decisions to be taken for your portfolio.

·          You will be responsible determining product features in cooperation with the regions, engineering, customers and partners, and supporting the sales team in its pre-sales effort.

·          You will define the general pricing guidelines and customization framework for the regions.

·          You will be responsible for the Margin Contribution of your portfolio as well as the cost of your solutions

·          You are responsible for setting the Target Product Costs for your solutions

·          You ensure proper alignment with the regions to maintain a positive business plan for your solutions and find champions to introduce your solutions to customers.

·          You will be supporting the regions for its key accounts where needed.

·          You will produce necessary sales trainings and documentations associated with your product (datasheets, roadmaps, launch kits, commercial and marketing pitches).

·          You will promote your product to the internal and external stakeholders.

·          You will contribute to differentiating the Broadband and Video product portfolio by defining new innovative products and features as well as writing white papers, pitches etc.

·          You represent the vision of the Broadband and Video Business Division and its customers towards the broader Vantiva organization.

·          The job entails frequent interaction with Engineering, Product Development Unit and Business Division management teams based in Belgium, Israel, India, France and the United States.

·          The job is based in Belgium, with frequent international travel and customer visits.

·          You are a team player who interacts easily with the different layers of the company’s management.

·          You are able to bond quickly and are capable of managing conflicting priorities successfully to reach the company goals

Qualifications

Education

·          You have a Master Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronics with affinity for sustainability. You have relevant field experience in mechanical or electronical engineering, on packaging or on sustainability management.

Experience

·          You have proven background in product management, marketing functions or similar

·          You have proven experience in Customer Management / Interactions

·          Having experience in the sustainability solutions for the electronics is an added value

·          You have proven experience in complex technological projects

·          You have strong analytical thinking, and reporting skills, as well as written and oral communications skills in English in a multidisciplinary team’s environment (mandatory) ;

·          You are proactive, open minded, synthetic and at ease in multicultural environment ;

·          You have a high degree of initiative and responsibility. You are able to adapt permanently to priorities and planning ;

·          A knowledge in telecom, multimedia ecosystems, wireless transmission technologies and legal applied to product conformities would be a strong plus.

Commercial skills

·          Your main drive is to deliver differentiating solutions to the customer.

·          You must have the necessary presentation skills.

·          You must be able to give a compelling presentation to customers both in oral and written form (ppt or alike).
