Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees full accounting of the Company, including creating and maintaining of accounting policies and procedures, responsible for preparation of financial statements in accordance with Polish accounting act and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Coordinates month end closing process
  • Representing the Company in front of the auditors, state authorities and financial institutions (e.g. GUS, Tax Office, Ministry of Finance)
  • Supports accounting team with reporting according to International Financial Reporting Standards in the consolidation system
  • Ensures compliance of accounting processes and reporting with relevant legal requirements
  • Measures effectiveness and suggests improvements of accounting processes and risk and control environment
  • Supports tax compliance in cooperation with external advisors
  • Decision support around financial and accounting solutions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience on the similar position as Chief accountant or independent accountant
  • Very good knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act and IFRS
  • Experience in accounting of production companies would be of advantage
  • Good understanding polish Corporate Income Tax Act regulations
  • Experience in audit area will be of advantage
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting systems and applications
  • Computer literacy, especially MS Excel is a must
  • Very good command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Good organizational and communication skills (also with non-financial departments)
