Job Description

Job Description -  Production services engineer

Manage and support all infrastructures and sotftwares used by all our divisions to transfer files at fast speed and securely.   This includes but not limited to Linux and Windows based servers, Aspera applications like Faspex, Shares, Console, Orchestartor and HST/P2P transfer nodes.  Support for all internal and external users.  Key point of contact between our local production teams ,  customers and all other I.T. services. Participate in all file transfer related projects, including automation initiatives.

Minimal requirements

Aspera applications 2+ years experience managing Aspera applications suite (Faspex,Shares, Console, HST/Endpoint servers, Orchestrator, Aspera On Cloud)

Unix intermediate skills

Basic I.T. systems security experience (server hardening, best practices,  etc)
 

Intermediate  storage experience (NFS, Samba-CIFS, block based, etc)
 

MySQL. MariaDB, NGINX  or other database management basic skills. (simple queries, database performance tuning)
 

APIs creation and management (any application)

Basic knowledge of encryption (SSL certs management, etc)

Create and manage training and infrastructure documentation.

Fluent in English. Internal and external customers facing.
Proactive attitude. Motivation to make THIS  TEAM progress
and willingness to cover extended hours for level 2 and 3 emergencies.
Ability to work on Sundays at least once per month.

Experience with any other file transfer application than IBM  Aspera's is a plus.
