JOB DESCRIPTION:

At Technicolor, as a Procurement buyer, you will play an essential role in supporting the development, implementation, and governance of global and regional purchasing strategies.

 

This is a newly created position within a Global Procurement Team, providing support to our diverse family of Vantiva and Technicolor Creative Studios brands in APAC region including China, Korea, Japan, Australia.   You will work in close coordination with the Procurement Manager, contributing to key goals for procurement in line with the corporate strategy, manage tenders, negotiating supplier contracts and ongoing management of suppliers across a broad range of Indirect categories.  You will help drive Vantiva and Technicolor’s continuous efforts in its sustainable spend plan, delivering value through optimizing costs and maximizing the efficiency of business processes. You will interact with key stakeholders across the business, adopting a collaborative approach, driving proactive engagement in all projects.  You will be an advocate for change, embracing the advances in technology and digital transformation opportunities.

 

REPORTS TO:

Procurement Manager based out of Beijing and Madrid, inside the Global Group Sourcing Organization.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain and reinforce day-to-day proximity to the business, supporting local/regional business needs, driving, leading, and executing projects.
  • Track monitor and report on project progress.
  • Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders, building, and maintaining effective relationships, being proactive and reactive (WW Sourcing & Procurement team, key vendors, budget owners, finance teams, legal, and management).
  • Work in close coordination with Global Sourcing Category Managers to accomplish Sourcing Org strategic goals including governance of the category management strategy, delivering cost savings, supplier and spend consolidation, and leveraging preferred vendor relationships.
  • Managing supplier negotiations, delivering value through cost, quality, and improving overall supplier performance, utilizing procurement best practices and tools.
  • Vendor onboarding qualification:  Initiate supplier onboarding and qualification workflow and assess supplier against Sourcing criteria, approving, or declining as required.
  • Monitoring and managing vendor performance (implementation, compliance, contract lifecycle management).
  • Support Technicolor internal users along the P2P process: Coupa content (Easysource eProcurement platform), buying channels, PO processing, catalogues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of Source 2 Pay (S2P) process and solutions.
  • Management and Development of Junior Buyer in conjunction with the Procurement Manager.
  • Cross train within the WW Procurement Org to enhance Sourcing/Procurement skills, identify opportunities for synergies with colleagues, and maintain a consistency of service to stakeholders.
  • Support COUPA data administration (User creation, vendor creation/modification, PO processing, GR processing.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bilingual- Must speak fluent English and Chinese (Korean would be a plus)
  • Proven procurement experience
  • Excellent command of Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Previous experience with eProcurement systems (Coupa if possible)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good analytical skills
  • Critical thinking and strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions within established guidelines
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with change
  • Must be comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders at all levels of management

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing, Supply Management or Related Field desire
