Job Description

SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Loan Partner is to manage the Loan Officer’s pipeline and to make certain
that all loans are ready for submission to the Processing Department. This position is also responsible for communicating with referral partners, current and past clients, listing and selling agents, title
companies, lenders and Underwriters to solidify relationships and garnerfuture business.

Individuals in this position shall not engage in loan origination during the course of his/her
employment with WMC. Loan origination is defined as (1) taking a residential mortgage loan application; or (2) offering or negotiating terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain; (3)
advertising or communicating to the public that you can perform loan origination services. Please see the Loan Originator Compensation Policy for more details on the definition of loan origination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screen calls and book appointments for Loan Originator.
  • Track leads on a daily basis for Loan Originator.
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with new listing agents, referring agents, title companies, and builders.
  • Conducts weekly pipeline meetings with Loan Originators and addresses, and coordinates any additional follow-up items.
  • Answers questions regarding closing requirements from, but not limited to other staff members, branches vendors and investors.
  • Track all requested documents in Encompass.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and other related parties on transactions as needed.
  • Responsible for tracking all leads until an appointment is scheduled on the calendar.
  • Maintain LO calendar. This includes scheduling, updating and confirming appointments.
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training as required.
  • Pull credit and other documents as they pertain to lead generation.
  • Conduct annual mortgage update calls and schedule reviews, run “Closed Loan Report” and review details of “closed” loans.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Complete any additional duties assigned by management
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required
  • Assist WMC employees and departments as needed
  • Responsible for partnering with Corporate Marketing to create and/or order marketing
  • Oversee and manage event planning for client events

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Loan Partner I will provide leadership and supervision over managing the Loan Officer’s pipeline and to make certain all loans are ready for submission to the Processing department. .

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Five plus years of conventional fixed and ARM, HELOC and construction mortgage loan processing.is required Extensive knowledge of VA and FHA products is required. Previous experience and knowledge of Real Estate
compliance guidelines and the ability to implement them is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient knowledge of related computer applications such as Microsoft Office is required. Experience on Encompass LOS system or other mortgage processing software is required, DU, LP and other automated engine submissions experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Good grammar and diction are required. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, write correspondence and write memorandums is required. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent in practical situations is
required.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Using excellent customer service skills which includes maintaining a good attitude, taking ownership of meeting customer needs, going above and beyond for customers, demonstrating a commitment to sharpening skills through education and training, using positive communication, and looking for opportunities to respect customers’ time and schedules is
required.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
in situations where only limited standardization exists is required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.
