Job Description

Your role as Business Development Manager Packaging;

As Business Development Manager you are part of the Marvinpac Group Commercial team, currently consisting of 7 people and growing and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer Marvinpac based in Czech. This position is a remote working position and is based in France, preferably you will be either based out of Paris or Lyon. 

Marvinpac Group is a Full-Service solutions provider and contract packaging partner. We fill and pack high-volume contracts in the cosmetics sector, FMCG, Food & Beverage industry, preferably premium products in the market.

In this customer facing role you are responsible for selling Marvinpac Group’s end-to-end full-service solutions. Your selling will include sustainable packaging and assembly solutions as well as branded accessories for our partner brands from proposal to final account. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to find decision makers, is an active listener, has a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and warm leads.

You will focus on developing a network of contacts to attract new customers and new business opportunities that will provide best return on investment, maximizing Marvinpac’s efficiencies and profitability. Building and maintaining relationships with our key customers and identifying new customer opportunities at the world's largest FMCG companies or the world's largest beauty companies, will be part of your job.

What you need to do:

  • Initiating contact with potential customers, securing leads, and following up with business opportunities;
  • Regularly meeting with customers to present new concepts, encourage sales, and provide follow up and sales review;
  • Acting as the single-point-of contact to Marvinpac Group customers;
  • Working with the pricing department to create final proposals, assisting with defining the cost for the proposed solution;
  • Negotiating contract terms with customers and communicating with stakeholders;
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts;
  • Making and giving presentations to prospective customers, participate on exhibitions and conferences;
  • Working in a team environment and collaboratively with peers across multiple business units and act as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ ambassador within the organization to ensure all are aligned with the customer’s expectations;
  • Partnering with Marketing on developing customer specific presentations that will focus on potential sales opportunities;
  • Partnering with R&D on coordinating innovations, supporting product development initiatives and sampling based on each individual customer’s requirements;
  • Supporting the project department to ensure the projects are executed as agreed.

Qualifications

What you need to bring:

  • Min 3-5 years in sales of cosmetic packaging in B2B environment;
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills;
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Proven sales achievements;
  • Able to Demonstrate results for 5 to 30 million Euro sales;
  • Product development and brand marketing experience is an asset;
  • FMCG/Food & Beverage Industry experience (e.g., Coffee, Tea, Reduced risk Tobacco products, Wine & Spirits) is a plus;
  • Fluent in French and English / other language a plus;
  • Excellent computer skills in word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar;
  • Ability to use a CRM system, preferably SalesForce;
  • Packaging Industry experience is not prerequisite.
  • Willingness to travel locally and globally as required.
