The Electrical Carbon business is one of the 5 Business Units of Morgan Advanced Materials and develops and manufactures a wide range of electrical carbon brushes and collectors, brush holders, slip rings and linear transfer systems, which are used to transfer electrical current between stationary and rotating or linear moving parts in motor, generator and current collector applications.

Morgan’s products are engineered for specific customer applications and they are often required to operate in harsh or extreme environments. Electrical Carbon’s main markets are rail, industrial drives, power generation, iron and steel, mining and wind. The business’s core strength is its longstanding materials and applications experience and its ability to engineer appropriate, reliable solutions for individual customer requirements.

Job Description

As Sales Engineer you will be responsible for generating new business with both new and existing customers in France and Spain. You will report to the Sales Manager based in Italy. It’s a remote working role, and you can be based in Spain or France. Around 50% of your time will be travelling in the French/ Spanish area. For this position French and Spanish fluent language knowledge is required.

Your daily tasks will consist of Identifying potential new customers and remain in contact with current customers; selling products to potential and existing customers face-to-face, achieving sales targets; keeping track and keeping your data records of all sales related activities up to date in the CRM system, as well as converting market understanding and sales leads into commercial opportunities.

The role is part of the Electrical Carbon in the EMEAI unit.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in technical area, with preference to mechanical, materials science, or electrical engineering;
  • Min 5 years sales experience in Power Plants market or similar technical environment;
  • Technical-sales experience or a strong technical basis who wants to develop his career in sales;
  • Proven business development track record and network within the Morgan Advanced Materials industry would be ideal;
  • Understanding of electrical motor technologies are preferred, alternative relevant knowledge, - experience in Power Plants,  Energy etc.;
  • Fluent in French and Spanish is required and preferable English;
  • Based in Spain or France, ability to undertake regular national, international and overnight travel is essential
