Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • With a strong focus on month end, including standard monthly journals, general ledger reconciliations and reporting financial information to internal management and key stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing the consolidated financial statements of Valterra Platinum Limited and the standalone financial statements of various subsidiaries.
  • Engagement with external auditors and required internal stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant CA(SA) or relevant finance and/or accounting degree.  

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience dealing with financial accounting within a large organization
  • Big 4 auditing firm experience is beneficial
  • Mining industry experience is beneficial

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Developing skill in analysing financial results
  • Proficient skill in applying IFRS
  • Advanced skill in using excel to perform complex calculations and analysing financial information
  • Expert skill in processing and compiling financial transactions

Technical Knowledge 

  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • SAP advantageous
  • Wdesk (Workiva) advantageous
