Job Description
Processor Grade 3 is a shift-based entry role, which is required to carry out tasks pertaining to specific work procedures within the section. This role generally works under the direct supervision of a more senior position.
Job responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Safety
Consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
Performance and Delivery
- Completion of allocated tasks
- Reacting to abnormal activities and notification of such to the line manager
- Support team members if they require assistance
- Perform inspections on equipment
- Assist with fault finding and problem analysis
- Follow instructions from supervisors carefully
- Apply effective open two-way communication
- Operate communication equipment
- Carry out basic operational procedures as required/directed
- Assist in breakdowns
- Perform pre-operational checks
- Safety, health, environment and quality
- Reports completed to required standards
- Complete safety inspections
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Adhere to safety standards
- Report on abnormal activities (hazards)
- Participating in safety meetings
- Identify risks and threats to the process proactively
- Complete data logging and reporting to standard
People & Teams
- Actively engage as a team member in all team processes.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory, legislative and permitting requirements.
Qualifications
Ensure all required documents are uploaded as part of your submission. The required documents may be attached as one document (CV and Matric Certificate)
- Grade 12/ NQF 4 – Maths, Science, English
Certification
- Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license
Experience
- 6 months working experience
Technical Skills
- Monitor start and stop equipment where required and complete safety inspections
Additional requirements will include:
- Must be able to do shift work, standby and if required overtime
- Will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
