Job Description

Valterra Platinum invites suitably qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to express their interest in participating in structured development programmes aimed at enhancing employability and creating sustainable career pathways within the mining industry.

The purpose of the program is to develop competent candidates into the Learnerships and Work Integrated Learning (where applicable) through structured institutional and workplace-based learning, coaching, mentoring, and practical exposure aligned to operational requirements.

The programmes will run between 08 months.

Successful candidates will be required to:

  • Participate in structured training and development programmes
  • Complete all learning interventions, assessments and logbooks
  • Adhere to all safety, health, environmental and quality requirements
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal development and learning
  • Participate in workplace exposure and practical training
  • Comply with Company policies, procedures and standards

Qualifications

Suitable candidates with a Grade 12 qualification may be considered for training and development opportunities in roles such as: PTV Operator, Chesa Operator, Transport Incline Operator, Locomotive Driver.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
  • South African Citizen
  • Persons with Disabilities (proof of disability may be required)
  • Medically fit for the specific role and working environment
  • Good communication skills
  • No criminal record
