Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Machine Operators to join our confectionary production team. This is a hands-on role within a busy, fast-paced confectionery manufacturing environment where you'll play an important part in producing high-quality products.

Shift Pattern
- Sunday: 23:00 – 06:00
- Monday to Thursday: 22:00 – 06:00
Rest Days: Friday and Saturday nights.
(Flexibility to work overtime when required is essential)
Salary
Successful candidates will initially join the team on Grade 2, with a starting salary of £26,534.04 per annum.
Following the successful completion of your training and demonstration of the required competencies, you will progress to Grade 3, increasing your salary to £27,122.42 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator, you will:
- Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Support the manufacturing process for lconfectinary production.
- Carry out routine machine checks and monitor performance.
- Identify potential machinery issues and report them promptly.
- Assist engineers and technicians during machine breakdowns when required.
- Handle and lift heavy machine parts safely.
- Carry out regular manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
- Work closely with fellow operators and production line staff to achieve production targets.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
- Remain alert and proactive to ensure your own safety and the safety of those around you.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous machine operating experience (preferred, but full training will be provided).
- Experience within food manufacturing (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties.
- A positive attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasm.
- A proactive, "get up and go" approach with the ability to use initiative.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to work carefully in a fast-moving production environment.
- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Additional Information
Working Environment
This role is based within a confectionery manufacturing facility producing a variety of products. The environment can be hot, physically demanding, and occasionally messy, so applicants should be comfortable working in these conditions and capable of undertaking manual work throughout their shift.
