As a contract and private label manufacturer, Valentine Enterprises Lawrenceville facility is a 300,000 square feet state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This facility is equipped for contract blending, filling, bulk fills and flexible packaging solutions. In addition, VEI staffs a full product development lab that excels in flavor profiles and custom formulation, making each product precise and unique.

Job Description
Summary/Objective: Update and maintain R&D related ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system data. Participate in R&D projects, evaluate materials, collect and prepare technical documents. Collaborate with diverse teams while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to VEI’s policies and procedures.

• Read and understand R&D project requirements. Effective utilization of ERP System to review project tickets.
• Translate customer specifications and needs into ERP system.
• Create raw materials, packaging components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in ERP system, with ability to maintain accuracy.
• Participate in ERP system data clean up and maintenance.
• Capable of understanding formula calculation and creating Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) following defined instruction.
• Conduct material review, evaluation, and shelf-life extension approval.
• Gather and ship raw materials, components and product samples to fulfill customer’s request.
• Assist in requesting documents when needed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interacting with colleagues, management, other departments and suppliers.
• Perform well in a fast-paced working environment, with flexibility in changing work priorities when needed.
• Familiar with lab environment. Able to follow technical instructions to measure ingredients and scale up formulas in lab setting.
• Participate in lab cleaning and sample organizing with colleagues.
• Able to consume and sample food/supplement ingredients and allergens in accordance with evaluation needs.
• Works with Urgency.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexible to work overtime to meet deadlines in special occasions.
• Comply with all safety and SOP procedures.

Qualifications
Required Education, Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field or equivalent work experience or a combination of both..
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including timely follow-up and commitment to deliverables, and openness to give and receive feedback.
• Able to develop strong cross-functional relationships and communicate with teams from both internal and external partners.
• Able to perform tasks autonomously or under minor supervision while maintaining accuracy, completeness, and sound judgement.
• Able to comprehend, interpret, and report technical data.
• Well Organized with Time Management skills.
• Result driven and self-motivated.
• Ability to balance workload and prioritize tasks with sense of urgency.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, word, pdf etc.).
• Strong Attention to Detail.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
• B.S in Food Science, Food Processing, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience or a combination of both.
• Experience in using an ERP System.
• School or work experience in Food and Supplement industry
• Comfortable working in a lab environment and operating lab equipment.
• Familiar with manufacturing setting and able to follow safety rules while in a manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of GMP.
