Job Description

VVL Systems is looking for high-caliber consulting engineer who will deliver consulting services of BMC Software's DSO product suite within our existing and potential customer’s environment. Responsibilities include providing design, architecture, best practices, and implementation/troubleshooting of customer capabilities in relation to the following products:

  • BMC TrueSight Server Automation / TrueSight Automation for Servers
  • BMC Atrium Orchestrator / TrueSight Orchestrator
  • BMC TrueSight Automation Console
  • BMC TrueSight Smart Reporting for Servers / YellowFin BI

The ideal candidate will have deep operational and implementation experience in the above products or within each domain silo (Server, Network, Cloud).  Direct experience in requirements review, design planning, and implementation of all/some of the products above

Key Role and Responsibilities 

  • Own, lead, and manage all aspects of customer engagement and engineering requirements.
  • Act as consultative lead in process and requirements analysis and application configuration
  • Track progress of deliverables and interface with customer towards implementing services on schedule and on budget
  • Recognize issues and risks and proactively document and manage/resolve those with the customer and VVL Systems project managers and sponsors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with assigned customers and VVL Systems Project Management team.
  • Incorporate and drive best practices into the product and methodology.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of server virtualization, network architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • BMC Certified Professional and Experts a plus.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of TSSA, TSAC, TSSR, TSAC, and TSO architecture and use cases (Compliance Management, Patching, Software deployment).
  • Knowledge of Atrium Orchestrator and Process Automation, specifically with Change Management integration with Remedy and TSSA Closed Loop Compliance Runbooks.

Teleworking (working from home) engagement. No travel requirement.

Qualifications

The candidate shall have:

  • BA/BS and/or a minimum of five years of prior consulting/professional services and project management experience; 
  • Direct experience with relevant suite of products, for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Direct experience with consulting engineering efforts including implementation, configuration, and operation.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills with ability to facilitate meetings, conduct trainings, and conducting consulting activities
  • Experience as a lead in customer engagements involving software and/or hardware projects
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Service Delivery Management, Service Portfolio Management, Six Sigma or equivalent desirable.
