Job Description
This position is for a senior Windows Engineer with deep expertise in Hyper-V and Active Directory who will be part of a team a team deploying a new Windows 2012 Hyper-V / System Center Infrastructure along with Virtual Machine Manager and Microsoft Azure private and public cloud integration. The systems will be on Dell servers, attached to Dell Compellent storage and local disks, in a light out configuration with support for Bare Metal Deployments and Multi-Tennant PaaS cloud. The Hyper-V Engineer will provide specialized knowledge to configure these systems in conformance with customer requirements; will help develop operational and maintenance procedures for these systems; and document system configuration and operational procedures. Troubleshooting and resolution of any Hyper-V related problems will be primary responsibilities of this engineer. This position requires coordination with the customer, as well as a variety of technical personnel with different specialized skills. The environment is fast moving and has high expectations for quality of work and turnaround times. Candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Systems Center and PowerShell.

· Related IT/engineering experience
· Expert understanding of Hyper-V
· Windows server hardware and software expert knowledge
· Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2
· Registry and group policy editing experience
· Dell Servers, including NIC teaming experience
· Dell Servers, including NIC teaming
· Active Directory Implementation and Management Experience
· Microsoft Cluster Services work experience
· Microsoft System Center work experience
· Virtual Machine Manager work experience
· Operations Manager
· PowerShell work experience
· VBScript or other WSH scripting , other virtualization platforms
· WMI filtering experience
· Integration of servers into a networked environment, including trunks, switching iLo, iDrac or similar LOM systems
Education:
· Bachelor's of Science in computer science, GIS, engineering, planning or related field
