As HR Director/ Head of People you will get the opportunity to guide VONQ on its rapid, international growth journey and (continue to) develop our People strategy to make VONQ a great place for our current and future colleagues. Your responsibilities as HR Director/ Head of People are

• To develop and execute a company-wide people vision and strategy, focused on retaining and developing talent;
• Provide inspirational leadership and coaching to the HR/People team;
• Team up with all department heads and lead consistent efforts throughout the company towards providing a supportive, collaborative and fun work environment;
• (Continue to) develop and further professionalise our people and organisational policies, processes and programs to support consistent decision making as well as risk-management & compliance;
• Review and lead compensation & benefit initiatives to keep up with/stay ahead of market trends;
• Actively participate in our Corporate Social Responsibility taskforce;
• Support and advise the Leadership Team on all people matters and institutionalise the desired operating principles;
• Maximise the use of technology to create efficiencies (system integration efforts and driving simplicity).

How you fit the picture

This is an opportunity for both part- and full-time workers, the ideal candidate is available for at least 28 hours per week.

We’re looking for a person who understands the dynamics of a fast- and internationally growing company and is able to show natural and decisive leadership to help our organisation get to the next level. Together, Ownership, Move Fast and Grow & Enjoy are our key company values. Besides that, to be successful in your role and achieve your goals, we think you will also need:

• A minimum of 15 years’ operational & strategic HR experience;
• Experience with a scale-up or in an otherwise fast-growing environment, preferably in a tech company, so you know what to expect;
• Experience with change management;
• A broad knowledge of, and experience in labour law in the Netherlands and internationally (eg. UK, DE, US), related to payroll, sick-leave management and contracting;
• Fluency in both Dutch & English;
• An entrepreneurial approach: at VONQ we greatly value a positive self-starting and can-do attitude, #ownership and a flexible mindset.

This position is based in Rotterdam and although we have a hybrid-working policy, the ideal candidates should live in The Netherlands with an easy commute to our office where we can meet and work together for one-two days a week.
