Your role as Global Sales Director Public Safety Network:
For this new position, NEC is looking for a Global Sales Director who is capable in bringing business to NEC and convince the customers to buy and implement the NEC Public Safety LTE network (PS-LTE).
As this is a fairly new market for NEC in Europe, they are looking for a candidate with extensive and proven senior sales experience in the field of Mission Critical Networks/ Public Safety Networks (TETRA or PS-LTE) and a network in Europe at Governmental and on decision making level.
Preferably they are looking for a sales person coming from the competition or has worked and experience in this work field. The position is a stand-alone position with reporting lines to Europe and Japan, but as future looks bright, direct reports most probably will be added to the role in the near future. This position is home-based with work area spreading all over Europe and potentially globally. This position can be filled on permanent or interim bases.
NEC is in the forefront of the development and roll out of a new Mission Critical/ Public Safety Network called, PS-LTE network. NEC is already successful with this new state of the art network in Japan, but wants to introduce this to Europe and other areas of the world as well. This new Public Safety network can replace the older TETRA network or function as an addition to this network.
This PS-LTE network as well as the TETRA network is used by Public services in case of calamities where human life and other values for society are at risk. The most typical example of mission critical communications use is in the so called “blue lights” agencies (police, ambulance, fire brigade). PS-LTE is a vital service that allows emergency workers direct access to a reserved LTE network. This ensures that various emergency services are always able to communicate effectively at all times. What makes this new NEC PS-LTE network so special is that it can, besides voice, also send data and video.

Your responsibilities are:
• Creating and maintaining sales pipeline – Target countries and Customer Prioritization;
• Deal closure;
• Ownership of Sales numbers (KPI’s);
• Developing marketing- and promotion strategy;
• Representation in industry events such as TCCA;
• Influencing key Governmental stake holders and institutions;
• Promoting NEC vision and solution;
• Cooperating and working closely with related country affiliates;
• Reporting to Japan and Europe.
Our new Global Sales Director:
• Preferably Europe based;
• Senior level background;
• Preferably a background from a Major Public safety network supplier;
• Background in similar work experience;
• Network in the governmental area and decision making level;
• Extensive proven track record in sales and deal closure;
• Capable and able to travel extensively.
