Job Description
About the role
This role mainly involves preventative and corrective maintenance, on-site and off-site support, fault finding, project installation and commissioning tasks on client sites, which are predominantly based in the Hunter & QLD regions.
You will liaise with internal teams including engineering, customer support and the product team to share learning and influence product development.
This position will require travel by road and air to support clients throughout Australia approx 1 week of every month. Flexibility to travel is required as well as a valid drivers license.
You'll be;
- Providing and delivering technical support, training material and troubleshooting guides to Customers, Reseller’s/Service Partners and Installation contractors (on site and remote).
- Overseeing onsite work processes, checking in with Service Partners.
- Reviewing and distributing inspection reports, conducting site and VERIDAPT vehicle audits.
- Providing adhoc onsite and remote support and technical assistance during the installation and commissioning phase of a project.
- Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) (Mark up drawings post commissioning and Complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) (at offsite locations as needed).
- Proposing and supporting the implementation of Veridapt products and solutions to customers to drive improvement outcomes as needed
- Working collaboratively with the Customer Success/Helpdesk Team providing engineering/technical support to resolve site issues for Tier 2 issues.
- Providing feedback to internal stakeholders and product development based on user experience and customer requests/feedback.
- Conducting site audits and gather information (Scoping, materials, labour and other factors) required to assist the sales team in the preparation of quotes.
- Identifying and creating opportunities for potential sales opportunities with existing customers while assisting sales team with technical aspects during quote phase if needed.
- Ensuring safe systems of work practices are followed.
Qualifications
You'll have:
- Minimum 3+ year’s experience in electrical service within an industrial environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ok with working in varied environments (Mix of office, site & home)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
- Experience and understanding of instrumentation and control systems
- Strong networking communications knowledge - investigation and troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software systems
- Experience in service role within a similar technical area
- Strong computer skills with a focus on written skills to write clear and concise site reports
- Flexible hours are required to meet the requirements of Customers and Project works
- You must hold a valid Australian Drivers license in this role
