Job Description
About the role:
We are looking for someone hands-on to join our Chatswood team for 30 hours a week and coordinate Purchasing & Logistics for our small warehouse. For this role you will need to be ok working in a warehouse environment, using a palette jack and heavy lifting (up to 25kg).
On a day to day you’ll be:
- Proactively engaging with suppliers, project managers and the manufacturing team to ensure the efficient supply of parts and finished goods to market.
- Owning the logistics process end to end for inbound and outgoing stock activities (receipting, picking, packing and despatching)
- Managing the booking and collection of domestic and international shipments using multiple couriers or customer accounts.
- Liaising with management to procure products by requesting quotes, negotiating prices, raising and releasing purchase orders
- Scheduling deliveries to align with the manufacturing plan and other operational activities.
- Performing day-to-day warehouse and inventory management to ensure sales order dispatch dates are communicated and the timely dispatch of all customer orders
- Performing stock checks and audits to ensure stock accuracy
Qualifications
You have;
- Minimum 3+ years of procurement/ logistics experience.
- Are a self-starter multi-tasker who enjoys wearing multiple hats
- Have great attention to detail and time management
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
- Good at building relationships and managing a variety of stakeholders
- Knowledge of Inventory Management Software or ERP
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Ideally supply chain or business at TAFE or higher education credentials
