Job Description

We are seeking a customer-focused Electrical Project Engineer to be part of Technical Services team based in our Perth office. In this role, you will work closely with external customers and collaborate  cross functionally with Sales, Product and Customer Success. Delivering product based technical solutions and suppoort throughout the entire customer lifecycle.

The key roles and responsiblities are the following;

Engineering & Design Solution 

  • Create fit-for-purpose electrical designs inline with the company standards and technical documentation to meet the engineering requirements of cutomers
  • CAD Designs using 2D and 3D information. AutoCad Electrical and AutoCad Inventor are the applications used internally
  • Develop Functional User Description (FUD) and standard design  documentation.
  • Source technical details and create Quote/Purchase Orders for Project specific deliverables, Manufacture, 3rd party components and services required.

Technical Support & Project Commissioning

  • Identify, integrate, test and document internal and 3rd party hardware required for projects based on requirements, proposals or scope of works.
  • Prepare clear and concise documentation including training and trouble shooting guides for internal and external use

  • Prepare Internal Test Plans (ITP) and Commissioning documentation

  • Provide remote technical assistance to the Field team, Partners and Customers globally.

  • Complete Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

  • Mobilise for adhoc onsite project commissioning and perform Site Acceptance Testing(SAT) as required by project activities

  • Conduct technical site audits and assit with complilation of accurate project costings.

Project Management

  • Work collaboratively with Project Manager to ensure adherence to project delivery framework and timelines.

  • Accountable for small project execution

In addition to the above core responsiblities, you will also support product development to enhance our solutions and contribute to customer sucess through high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

About You

  • have knowledge and experience of field support, instrumentation, and commissioning, ideally within the mining or other industrial site based organisations/industry
  • have a bachelor degree of engineering in electrical or electronic systems 3+ years ideally
  • experience with network communications
  • provide ideas for continuous improvements and solve problems proactively
  • enact and make decisions through a commercial and customer focus lens
  • enjoy working in team environment across functions, external partners and customers.
