VAM Systems is currently looking for Infrastructure & Cloud Architect for our Bahrain  operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture, including at least 3 years of hands-on experience in AWS, with proven ability to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions.
• Strong experience with multi-account AWS environments, cost control, and billing management.
• Experienced in AWS Services like Compute, Storage, Backup, IAM, Cloud watch, Lambda etc.
• Experienced in IaaS - Cloud formation
• Experienced in AWS services like Security Groups, NACL, Palo Alto firewall etc
• Experienced in cloud Security - WAF implementation, Key management, SSL Certificate management
• Expertise in Linux (Red Hat)
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect – Professional or Associate) preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the transition planning and handover of AWS accounts, services, and billing setup of Core systems from Core vendor.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions (primarily on AWS) including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Architect and manage hybrid environments, integrating physical, virtual, on-prem, and cloud resources.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud and on-prem infrastructure in alignment with security baselines and best practices.
• Plan, implement, and manage cloud-native storage and backup solutions (e.g., Amazon S3, EBS, Glacier, Backup).
• Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization across cloud and on-premise systems.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Implement and monitor cloud security controls, including IAM policies, encryption, security groups, and compliance frameworks.
• Manage cloud service cost optimization, licensing, and usage tracking across multiple environments.
• Monitor system health and performance, perform troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and backup failures, and lead root cause analysis.
