VAMSystems is currently looking for MSSQL DBAfor our Qatar operations with the following skill set and terms andconditions:

Experience/Knowledge

• Expertiseon installing, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshootingSQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2008 R2 and SQL 2012

• 5+ years of handling MSSQL RDBMS with clustering Experience.

• Shouldhave good expertisein Microsoft Clustering Services (MSCS) bothActive/Active and Active/Passive with provision of failover andfailback capabilities.

• Experiencein design and maintaining Log Shipping & Mirroring.

• Experiencein upgrading database from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2 and SQL 2005 to SQL 2008 R2/SQL 2012.

• Extensiveexperience in deploying and monitoring packages using SSIS and DTS.

• Musthave worked High Availability on Log Shipping, Replication,Clustering and Mirroring

• Strongknowledge and experience in DR Plans - Preparing DR plans andperform DR drill and real DR exercise

• Strongknowledge and experience in backups and recovery

• Strongknowledge to Implementing Database maintenance plan for Databaseconsistence & Integrity.

• StrongKnowledge in Database Security modules

• Experienceto manage SQL Server Logins, Database users and user permissions.

• Experiencein Monitoring, Analyzing database performance, Tuning and Allocation of server resources to achieve optimum databaseperformance. Tracing and Performance tuning using SQL Profiler.

• Experiencein configuring Transactional and Snapshot Replication, DatabaseMirroring and Log Shipping in Production Environment

• Proficientwith SQL Server tools, including Enterprise Manager, ManagementStudio, Query Analyzer, Profiler, SQL Server Agent, DTS, SSRS andSSIS.

• ExperienceInstalling, Monitoring and Troubleshooting of SSRS & SSIS

• Strongknowledge in SQL Server Reporting Services to Designing the SSRSreports according to the business need

• Experiencein T-SQL - Writing Stored Procedures, Views, Functions and Queries

• Experiencein developing the successful Backup strategies based on Recoverymodels.

• Shouldhave experience in third party backup tools such as, Tivoli DataProtector for SQL and HPOV monitoring

• Experienceto sync Pre-Production and Development database server environmentwith production.

• Experienceto Applying Security updates, hot fixes and SP up gradation.

• ProcessExperience – Very strong in ITIL processes on Change Management,Problem Management, Incident Management and ITIL Process relatedactivities

• Provide7x24 environment uptime supports to all SQL Servers.

• Excellentcommunication skills, both written and oral to interact effectivelywith application team, vendors and external customers.

• Provideon-call/off-hours DBA support as well as perform weekend maintenancetasks.

• Shouldhave Experience in backup tools like TSM TDP, EMC Networker.

• Knowledgein Unix OS is will be preferred.

• Shouldhave basic knowledge in managing and administration of Oracle RDBMS.

• Shouldhave knowledge in developing PL/SQL.

• Shouldhave basic Knowledge in Oracle installations and configuration.

• Shouldhave basic knowledge in Oracle Memory Architecture.

• Shouldhave knowledge in Oracle High availability solution (RAC).

• Shouldhave knowledge in Oracle Backup and Recovery.

• Knowledgein Shell scripting will be an add one advantage.

Qualifications& certifications

• Relaventexperience minimum of 5 years in SQL Database administration.

• Microsoft®Certified IT Professional ﴾MCITP﴿

• Microsoft®Certified Technology Specialist ﴾MCTS﴿

• SQLClustering experience is mandatory

• OracleCertifiied Administartor /Professional will be an add one advantage.

MainPurpose of the Role:

• Primaryrole to provide support on SQL database maintenance and BAU.

• Secondaryrole to Provide Support on Oracle,Sybase.

• Handlinginfra DBA projects,BAU service improvements and to provide 24/7 On- call support.

Termsand conditions:

Joiningtime frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month).

Theselected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Qatar and shall bedeputed to one of the leading Banks in Qatar.
