Hello UW team member!
Developing your career at UW is something we feel passionately about so we're delighted that you're exploring opportunities across the business.
If you're interested in the below role, please ensure you've reviewed our internal application criteria and spoken to your line manager.
Please note we require you to meet the qualification/experience requirements below to be considered for this role.
We put People First. It’s all about you.
We are looking for a bold, mission-led Senior Product Manager who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. You are someone who views the UK map like a laboratory, using lean experiments to find "untapped pockets" of the population to join our Partner network—from Gen Z influencers to career changers and mums. You are obsessed with the "activation" phase, ensuring every new Partner is successful from day one, and you have the creative vision to build a roadmap that gets everyone from software engineers to veteran Partners excited about a transformational future.
Job Description
We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.
As the Senior Product Manager for Partner Propositions, you will lead the product strategy to attract new Partners and obsess over the first 90 days of their experience, ensuring every new Partner feels empowered and set up for immediate success.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Impact: Presenting strong business cases for multi-quarter initiatives and influencing a roadmap that looks 3–6 months ahead.
- Outcome Ownership: Setting and tracking KPIs/OKRs for your squad and managing trade-offs for "in-life" triggers like payment changes or mobile activations.
- Onboarding Design: Iterating on an onboarding experience that doesn't just teach Partners about UW but makes them successful from day one.
- Market Insight: Monitoring the competitive landscape and market trends to ensure our personalised Partner proposition remains a market leader.
- Operational Excellence: Managing high-stakes, non-reversible decisions for your domain, such as strategic pivots in Partner churn or tariff transformations.
- Voice of the Partner: Designing and managing continuous Voice of the Partner (VoP) channels to identify adjacent market opportunities.
We work together. Your team and the people you will work with...
You will lead a cross-functional squad of engineers and designers, working collaboratively across multiple teams to solve Partner pain points. You'll actively engage with Partners across the UK to understand their motivations, behaviours and success patterns. Your role is about more than just building features; you are part of a mission to make the UW Partner opportunity the nation’s first choice for flexible work.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Product Lifecycle Mastery: Proven experience managing the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch.
- Commercial Acumen: The ability to connect feature development to revenue potential and cost reduction, specifically within a unique multi-service utility environment.
To thrive in this role, your technical toolkit and experience should also include:
- Experimental Mindset: Ability to run lean experiments to identify which messages and features resonate with different demographics, scaling winners at pace.
- Data Fluency: Strong proficiency in using advanced product analytics (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics) to justify tactical decisions.
- Marketplace & Onboarding Expertise: A track record of scaling marketplaces, driving network effects, and shaping a Partner's first hour, day, and week to drive habits.
- Stakeholder Leadership: Confident in presenting compelling narratives to senior leadership and aligning complex, conflicting internal and external interests.
Please refer to the Career Framework for further details of the required competencies for a Senior Product Manager.
