Upwork has partnered with one of their Enterprise level clients, a leading AI and Data consulting and professional services company specializing in developing AI-focused, data-led solutions leveraging the latest advancements in AI, data and cloud technology.

They are currently looking for a MicroStrategy Engineer for a Migration Project.

As a MicroStrategy Engineer, you will:

• Design, Develop, Test, and Deploy Dashboards and Report Solutions in the MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Work with Products from MicroStrategy’s Product Suite such as Library, Hyper Intelligence, MicroStrategy Developer, Workstation, System Manager, etc.
• Work lightly with Data Modeling, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Work with clients and analysts across numerous lines of business to identify the best technical solution for a given problem or scenario.
• Migrate/Optimize reports from other analytics platforms into the modern MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Run the Environment – Be knowledgeable in administrative tasks, as well as Application/Schema Object creation and requirements gathering.

To be successful in this role, you need:

• At least 3 years of experience developing schema and application objects (metrics, reports, dashboards) in MicroStrategy.
• Experience with migrating Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to MicroStrategy Analytics Platform.
• Experience developing solutions that take advantage of Transaction Services is a plus.
• Experience tuning outputs (reports, dashboards) to meet customer expectations and SLAs.
• Functional Knowledge of web-based technologies like Javascript, a plus.
• Ability to build high-performance dashboards and tune them to optimum speeds.
• Experience with MicroStrategy Developer latest version.
• Experience with leveraging I-Cubes.
• Experience with MicroStrategy tools (Object Manager, Integrity Manager, Command Manager).
• Experience with MicroStrategy Administrative Functions would be a BIG PLUS!
• Customer-facing role, excellent communication skills.
• Comfort and familiarity working with and explaining best practices for the usage of newer MicroStrategy front-end interfaces, such as Library and Dossier, and their comparisons to MicroStrategy Web and traditional interfaces like Reports and Report Services Documents.
• You enjoy solving problems and you think on your feet. You like learning new things, and can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
